How to Disable Home Button When Toddler Has Your iPhone

If your children are anything like mine, they love to play on your smart phone. I have no real issue with this, but I am quickly annoyed when my child pushes the Home button and exits out of the app or clicks on ads that pause the app until the ad is exited.

But have no fear! The solution is here! Follow these steps to disable to home button and the ads on toddler apps so your child cannot exit out of the app every 2 seconds. these are iPhone instructions

1. Go to Settings and click on General

2. Go to Accessibility

3. Switch Guided Access to On and choose Guide Access for Triple Click Home option

4. When you open kids’ app, triple click the home button and your screen will look like the image below. In the top right corner, you can click Start and it will disable the home button. You can also drag your finger and circle a portion of the screen to disable that part of the screen. This is helpful when there’s an ad on the screen.

I hope this was helpful. I have found this trick to be very handy.
